Pet Therapy programs are available in many hospitals, convalescent homes, schools, skilled nursing facilities and assisted living homes.  These programs bring in dogs and their owners or handlers who have proven they have appropriate skills to work with a variety of different people in a large number of different situations.  To determine that the dogs and humans can work together at a high level of safety and competency, they are given a relatively standardized test.  They must pass this in order to become a pet therapy team.  These programs are known as Assisted Animal Activities (AAA) or Assisted Animal Therapy (AAT).

Our Pet Therapy/ AAT Training classes prepare teams to take the AAA/AAT test.

There are many different groups that provide testing for AAA/AAT.  The Pet Therapy/ AAT Training Classes that we offer prepare the owner and dog to test in any one of them.
