Estelle Parker was an inspiration to us all.  Having raised many puppies for Guide Dogs For the Blind, she decided to raise one more puppy for our program when we opened the service dog program 2 years ago.

Cesar was the puppy she took and raised to be an outstanding helper and friend to his new partner Bob.

Under Estelle and Wayne's loving care, he grew to be one of the best service dogs we have had to date.

We just placed Cesar in May with his new partner.  Cesar assists his wheelchair bound partner in numerous tasks.  He greets the wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and demonstrates how a dog can make a difference in their now changed lives.

He has improved the quality of life for his new partner, as have all the puppies Estelle has raised over the years.

We will all miss Estelle; her strength, her wit, her dedication and unwavering love of dogs. She leaves us with the challenge to continue  the good works she achieved in her lifetime.  The chance to make a difference in the lives of the many people who will gain new freedoms through the service dogs we raise and train.
