Service Dog Training for the Disabled

Classes for people with disabilities teaching the person to train their own dog to assist them.

This 6-month course includes basic obedience, service dog concepts, public access skills, and individual work.  Classes are limited in size to less than 6 dogs for more personalized training.  Partial scholarships are available.

Public Service Dogs

Facility Dogs, Ministry Dogs, Dogs Fostering Relationships

Facility Dogs:

We train dogs who work full time in facilities helping and comforting people in upheaval.  These dogs have impeccable manners and are taught psychiatric service dog skills which allow them to respond to specific cues and intervene if necessary.

Ministry Dogs:

Work with Ministers/Chaplains to facilitate healing and open the doors of communication.  These dogs are taught psychiatric service dog skills as well as advanced obedience and Pet Therapy skills.

Cesar gets a wallet from a table for his trainer.  Cesar has been placed and is happily working with his new partner , Bob.


  Tristan (above) has been placed in a home with a new partner for life.  He is thriving in his new lifestyle and loves being a mobility dog.

Clare (above) is now working as a Seizure Alert dog with her new partner. She is very happy to be loved and out of the Shelter.  Thank you Nevada Humane Society for contacting us about her special talents.  She is truly a blessing!

Blue works with Chaplain Ward as a  Chaplaincy Service Dog.  He also helps Chaplain Ward (who has a prosthetic leg) with mobility.  Blue, formerly known as Bailey, was rescued from the Sacramento City Shelter.

Maggie, AKA Fergie, was rescued from the Sacramento SPCA.  Maggie has been placed and is working with her new partner, Barb.
